TAROT WISDOM READINGS

Each week, I pull a card from a random Tarot deck to bring us a message or piece of wisdom that we can think about or use in our lives on some level – if not now, we can refer back to it when it seems to be more fitting for us.  This is food for thought, and not drawn for any one particular person or situation.

This Week’s Wisdom Message . . .

The Lovers / Union
While the title of the Lovers implies love, attraction, sexuality, romance, and union . . . there is a deeper meaning contained with this card’s message.  The main message for this week revolves around important choices or decisions that need to be made. 

A choice in front of you could be about a relationship or a union of some kind, or it may be something else.  But whatever choices that you’re confronted with during this week could be significant ones.

Weighing considerations, making decisions, and selecting from multiple options may be what life is handing you at this time.  You may also be taking influential relationships of your life into account. 

Carefully weigh the pros and cons in order to arrive at a final verdict on something that has been moving steadily to this point for a while.

It’s a time to strive for greater harmony in your life and relationships.  It’s time for a firm but compassionate decision about something that needs you to finally make a choice.  You may clearly see two possible paths that you could take, and you know that you need to choose one or the other – or come up with a compromise that may somehow accommodate both options.

Choices are a necessary part of life, and when you make a choice, you will naturally be narrowing your options.  If you choose one thing, you will probably have to forego something else.  Every choice you make has consequences that can be far-reaching. 

Through your choices, you determine the course of your life, and you must accept responsibility for what you have chosen.  The choice of a partner is probably the most important of all and will affect every area of your life.

This card counsels you not to be hasty and rush into something before you have thought it through.  The immediate gratification is tempting, but what will the long-term consequences be?  It is no good trying to blame other people at a later date for a course of action you have chosen.  You must take responsibility for your own choices and actions.

Choices can most certainly come about in the area of love and relationships, and this card’s energy can point to love and attraction.  During this week, consider the choices you’ve made in your relationships and what this means, especially regarding commitment.

If you have chosen to love and commit to the partner you have, you’ve made one of the most important choices of your life.  It wouldn’t be out of line to objectively assess what you’ve accomplished and what you’ve gained with that action.  And conversely, consider just what that action may have cost you.  Choices do involve prices. And the choices you make in all your relationships will greatly determine the quality of your life.

Which of your relationships are “worth the price” you pay to keep them going?  And which do you need to reconsider?

If a calm, objective, and solid assessment reveals that your choices have been wise . . . then you have given yourself one of the most important gifts you will ever have!

Trust your common sense and your ability to make the right choices.  This is an energy of balance, harmony, wholeness, integration, union, and self-actualization.  You may now be emerging from a time of confusion and indecision . . . and into a time of making better choices. 

The Lovers card can also represent your personal beliefs and values, because to make decisions, you must know where you stand.  Following your own path can mean going against those who are urging you in a direction that is wrong for you.  Stick to your resolutions and make firm decisions.
