TAROT WISDOM READINGS

Here are the Tarot-Scopes by Sun Sign for July 2012.  For this feature, I am using traditional Western Sun signs of the zodiac, but if you’re curious what your Vedic Astrology Sun sign is, check out the Vedic Astrology Sun Signs page and compare.

If your Vedic Sun sign is different than your traditional Western sign, you might even see how both of the energies listed below could apply to you – or perhaps one may be more prominent for you than the other.

This month, I have used the Waking the Wild Spirit Tarot deck.  This deck is by Poppy Palin and published by Llewellyn in 2002.

ARIES:  Queen of Fire (Wildwitch)
Aries, there is no one person on this Earth who is exactly like you.  Appreciate who you are and be confident.  Don’t let it matter who believes in you or who doesn’t.  The only thing that matters is how you believe in yourself.

The energy is strong for you to get things done and accomplish a lot this month. So there is no time for self-doubt or questioning who’s on your side.  Focus on being on your own side.  You can literally be your own best friend.

Make goals and then be prepared to take action in order to achieve them.  It’s time to be proactive and not allow anyone or anything to get in your way.  It’s time to take charge of your life and actively participate in the world that you are creating.  This is your spark of life and your time to shine brightly.

Nurture your creativity and enjoy the process of manifestation.  This energy can be used for your benefit, so you are encouraged to make the most of it.  Get excited!  Your go-getting behavior can serve as an excellent role model for anyone else who needs to get moving in their own lives.  Show them how it’s done, Aries!

Aries:  What will you manifest this month?  What gets your excitement, enthusiasm, and passionate fires burning strongly?  That is where to focus!

TAURUS:  Ten of Water (Calm)
Stay calm, Taurus.  Be like the heron who patiently waits until it’s time to take further action on a situation.  Don’t jump to conclusions or make needless assumptions.

This is a time to consider your personal dreams.  What is that makes you feel the happiest?  Do you have that in your life right now?  If not, how can you get it?  The Ten of Water suggests that haste will not get you what you want, but a calm approach will do wonders to help you attain your heart’s desire.

Joy, happiness, and abundance are there for you, Taurus.  Take some quiet time to give thanks for the people and things in your life that you’re grateful for, and this will help you achieve even more joy.

Whatever support you need will be there – including the inner support that is a gift you can give to yourself when you need it.

Taurus:  How can you create a calmness in your life that brings you peace and joy?  What fulfills you emotionally?

GEMINI:  Interpreter (Spirit Guide)
Wondering whether to follow tradition or whether to stand out and rock the proverbial boat, Gemini?  The Interpreter asks you to fully “interpret” a situation so you’ll clearly see which option is right for you.  Make your choices based on wisdom – and if you need guidance, be sure to ask someone who’s been there and knows what to do.

When communicating with others, practice the art of truly listening.  If you are merely “hearing” what someone is saying, you’re probably spending too much time thinking of what you’ll say next or thinking about how you feel – and that’s not listening.  Be fully present in your communications with others.

If you are seeking answers, consult with a mentor, teacher, guide, an authority figure, or a spiritual advisor who can help.  Lead others by example and take the high road when in doubt.  As you examine the beliefs of a group or a community, this will also help you to establish your own beliefs.

Adhere to the rules at this time, but know that if you’re following a tradition that you don’t resonate with, you can work on making the changes.  But consider that for right now, it’s not yet time to announce it if you are choosing a different path than what someone else expects of you.  A better time will come later to make that kind of announcement.

Gemini:  What traditions are you following?  What expectations do others have of you, and what expectations do you have for yourself?

CANCER:  Reversed Seven of Earth (The Journey)
Whatever journey you are traveling at this time, it could be a bit bumpy, Cancer.  You might feel that you’re not making big accomplishments or getting very far with regard to your goals.

Don’t ignore the need for assessment in your life.  By taking the time to evaluate where things stand, you may find some gems that were previously overlooked – and you may also find some areas that needs revamped in the overall scheme of things.  But that’s what assessment is all about – to help you get back on the right track, especially if you find yourself straying from an original plan or goal.

Try to appreciate your efforts to date – as long as those efforts were made in a genuine spirit of real intention.  After your time of assessment, you can get back on the move again with a renewed sense of purpose.

But do be sure to take the time needed in order to evaluate where you stand.  Work on getting back on the right footing, and as long as you are paying attention to this, you need not let anxiety ruin things.

Cancer:  What needs your attention and evaluation at this time?  Can you identify at least one thing that is working and one thing that needs to be adjusted?

LEO:  Page of Earth (Jack-in-the-Green)
You can’t rush the seasons, Leo, so why should you expect to rush a task in front of you now?  And are you trying to be too many things all at once or attempting too many adventures for your eager mind to truly handle and grasp?  Page energy still needs some maturing and fine-tuning, but there is opportunity if you take the time to sort things out.

You need not try to be everything, like a Jack-of-all-trades.  Focus on being a practical “Jack-in-the-Green” instead.  Commit to gaining the skills and experience you need in order to get good at one important thing at a time.  This is especially important if you find that you’re a “newbie” in some area of interest.

This is a good time for study or learning a new skill.  Eliminate as many distractions as you can and let yourself absorb new and useful information in an area of interest.  Pay attention to potential opportunities, including messages that may arrive regarding money, work, or something that will bring improvement to your current circumstances.

Leo:  What will you commit to?  What do you need to study or learn in order to grow?

VIRGO:  Wisewoman (Dream Weaver)
Listen to your wise instincts this month, Virgo – and trust what you are feeling.  No need to second guess those inner thoughts, because the answers are right there within you.

But know that you may need to wait before you take action on something of particular importance.  The WiseWoman knows when to wait and when to act.  This time of “waiting” is not truly a delay – it’s a time for you to gather whatever facts and information that will be needed in making a final decision about something.  So if you jump into something with haste, you may wish you had waited for that extra piece of information that could influence your overall decision.

Even if you don’t want to accept what your “inner knowing” has to say, don’t ignore those hunches and feelings.  Let yourself be patient so that you can discover a deeper meaning that is waiting to be revealed.  Pay attention to what feels “off” as well as to what feels right.  Some answers may already be right there within you, and additional information will come to the light – so just be patient.

Virgo:  What does your intuition have to say about a matter?  Will you pay attention and trust that inner guidance?  It’s a radar to pay attention to!

LIBRA:  Sky Dancer (Morning Star)
This month presents a beautiful summer time energy for you to enjoy, Libra!  Are you planning any trips to the beach for doing something fun – such as a vacation?  The Sky Dancer is all in favor of doing exactly that!  A lot of feel-good energy is surrounding you to warm you with happiness and a sense of magical freedom.

The Sky Dancer is like childlike joy, and it’s with you to help you see the bright side of things in life.  Think of something you loved doing as a child, Libra.  Could you perhaps take part in that activity in your adult life?  The child within you wants to come out and play, and if you let her/him shine, you’ll shine in lovely ways yourself.

Happy and good news can be your story this month, Libra.  So pay attention to all that you’re blessed with and watch for more of those welcome blessings to appear.  Things are looking up, and positive change is in the air.  And the more you appreciate all your blessings, the more room there will be for even more abundance to be yours.

Libra:  What is making you happy in your life?  Don’t let negatives intrude on this question.  Just think of the people and things that are making you happy.  Focus on them, and take note of how lucky you become throughout this month!

SCORPIO:  Knight of Air (The Storyteller)
Communication is especially important for you this month, Scorpio.  This can be in the form of verbal or written communication.  The Storyteller speaks of messages or news that you may receive.

And while this version of the Knight of Air presents a calm demeanor, your own mind may be anything but calm.  You may have many things on your mind – or possibly many ideas spinning around in your head as well.

Just try not to over analyze things, Scorpio.  Take the calm approach like the Storyteller featured in this card.  It will be easier to sort things out than if you jump around to the point that you lose your focus or direction.

Change is in the air this month.  That change begins with a thought and an idea, and works its way through planning and strategizing . . . and finally the opportunity to be on a mission to manifest that idea into reality.  It’s up to you, Scorpio, to create your own story . . . and your own ending to the story.

Scorpio:  Do you have something to say?  If so, say it!  Don’t beat around the bush about it.  Work with your ideas and find your focus among all those thoughts.

SAGITTARIUS:  Knight of Fire (The Gypsy)
Energies run high this month, Sagittarius, and you are encouraged to make use of this zest and enthusiasm.  This isn’t a time to be shy.  Let your courage shine through.

With that said, there can also be temptation for some of you dear Scorpions to get a bit hasty in your impatience.  While taking a good risk may represent an opportunity for you at this time . . . just don’t get too hasty.  Don’t let yourself appear overly eager.  Try to tone it down a bit so that someone won’t think that you will be happy with less than what is possible.

You may feel very passionate about something you are pursuing, and the Knight of Fire Gypsy is giving you the special glance to go for it.  It’s as if he’s peeking out and looking ahead for you to let you know that the path is clear.

This is an action-oriented energy where you feel raring to go.  Just make sure that you don’t go so fast that you lose your direction in the process.  Try to keep a clear head in whatever you are engaged in.

Sagittarius:  Are you ready to take action?  What kind of excitement and adventure is waiting for you this month?  Are you ready to get things moving?  Get excited, because this is a vibrant and fiery energy that will help you get things done!

CAPRICORN:  Five of Air (The Council)
Be aware that you could be working under flawed logic, Capricorn.  Something you thought was true may turn out to be anything but the truth.  Someone might not be playing fairly, or someone might not be sharing all the facts with you.

This is an energy of dishonor, so be prepared to do battle with some struggles that may come up for your attention.  Know which battles are truly worth fighting for, and which ones you’ll be better off to let go.

Be on guard for those who are taking the “my way or the highway” attitude.  And make sure that it’s not you, dear Capricorn, who tries to gain a victory through deceitful means.  Those kinds of victories will be short-lived and not worth the loss of respect that would taint your own reputation.  Some people like to play dirty and unfair, but just make sure you’re not among them.  Check yourself before you wreck yourself!

Capricorn:  It takes more courage to walk away from a confrontation than to engage in the struggle.  Will you think twice before engaging in battle? – at least to make sure it’s really worth your effort and your reputation that gets put on the line?

AQUARIUS:  Two of Fire (Flame)
The Two of Fire is like a light to show you the way, Aquarius.  You have choices and opportunities to choose from this month.  You hold a lot of potential in your hands at this time, so what you do with that is important.  It’s up to you.

Taking action on a solid plan can bring you rewards a bit later.  All the rewards might not come immediately; there may still be some time to wait in order to see those ships come in with a return on investment.  But action is the key word.

Have you ever thought about the Law of Attraction and how the word “action” is contained in attraction?  There is your secret to the Law of Attraction, Aquarius!  It’s all about action.  Wishes, hopes, and dreams are all wonderful things, but to make them real, it takes effort and action.

Aquarius: Can you take a look at the big picture and see how the things you do right now fit into that scene?  Do some planning and then take action to ultimately bring the returns you seek.

PISCES:  Four of Water (Blood Bond)
We normally see a more dreary scene behind the Four of Water energy.  But in a typical of Four of Cups/Water card we also see the gift within the clouded hand.  Here, the bonds between people are expressed.

So even in those moments of confusion, doubt, lethargy, or unhappiness, there is something of value that’s trying to get your attention.  Look at the important bonds you have in your life.  There are people you love, and people who love you.

On page 276 of the Wild Spirit book, we are told:  “We have joined hands and that we, as a couple, will show the others how to work in harmony with each other, acting as a living sign of the love that can flow between us all.”

Take a second look, Pisces, because things are probably not as bad as they might at first seem!

Pisces:  Remember that what you do in life sets an example for others.  What can you look around and appreciate in your life right now?  What are your gifts?  With whom do you share bonds?
