Learn what your Sun sign is in the Vedic Astrology tradition
Most everyone is familiar with their Western Astrology Sun sign. Did you know that in Vedic Astrology, your Sun sign may be different? You can use the chart on this page to find out if your Sun sign is different in Vedic Astrology compared to traditional Western Astrology calculations.
In the table below, just find the date range in which you were born, and note the Vedic Sun Sign — which may differ from what you are accustomed to in traditional Western Astrology. For many of you, you’ll find that your Vedic Sun sign is the sign just before your Western Sun sign.
For example, if you were born on December 10th, you are a Sagittarian in the Western zodiac. But in the stars of Vedic Astrology . . . your Sun sign is Scorpio.

My date of birth is 13.9.1963 and still my sun sign is Virgo . Then is the above chart applicable to all the years ? I think it is ‘no’.
Hello Harihar! Thanks for dropping in. With a September 9th birth date, you have a Virgo Sun Sign in traditional Western astrology. But in Vedic Astrology, your birth date places your Sun Sign in Leo, as shown by the chart above.
Best wishes!
Velvet
