Each week, I pull a card from a random Tarot deck to bring us a message or piece of wisdom that we can think about or use in our lives on some level – if not now, we can refer back to it when it seems to be more fitting for us.  This is food for thought, and not drawn for any one particular person or situation.

For this week’s message, I have drawn from the Housewives Tarot deck.  This quaint deck is by Paul Kepple and Jude Buffum.  © 2004 Published by Quirk Books

This Week’s Wisdom Message . . .

Ten of Wands
This week may prove to be a very busy one!  You’ve got total control of a situation . . . but in the same token, this also means that all the responsibility is yours to handle.  And it may be just a bit more than you can reasonably take care of.

You may need to delegate some of the responsibility.  Even if you are someone who has to have things done a certain way, so you tend to do everything yourself . . . the going will be a lot tougher if you don’t relinquish some of that control and get some help from others.

Even though the burdens may feel heavy, making you weary, the goal is in sight!  Don’t lose sight of what you are striving to accomplish.  With this Ten, you are almost there!  So the Tarot’s advice, in addition to delegation, is to keep putting one foot in front of the other to ensure that you get what you are aiming for.

When you have so much coming at you all at once and so much to do, work on one thing at a time.  This will also ensure that your tasks are handled with quality effort versus just doing things halfway to get through everything.  Focusing on quality for one thing at a time will also mean that there will be less things to go back and redo.  When you have to redo tasks, you haven’t saved any time at all – in fact, projects that have to be redone generally mean that you are taking longer than you would have otherwise taken had you applied the needed quality the first time around.

From page 64 of the booklet:  “At last, you are in complete control of the situation.  Unfortunately, it also means all the responsibility is yours, and it may be more than you can handle.  The Ten of Wands illustrates the housewife who has it all, but without the energy and zest she had in the Ace.  It may be time to put down the wands and rest up until next time.”

So with that said, consider that you may need to take a break this week to rejuvenate yourself and get back on track with the enthusiasm and energy required to fulfill your duties.  And of course, while housework can be as daunting as what this card portrays, in this modern day age, it can be career endeavors or other projects that are demanding a lot out of you.

Many Blessings,

Velvet Angel
